Assistance to NGOs/Organizations:-

Grant is approved for Voluntary Organizations/NGOs who are working in the field of welfare of disable people like Cause of disability, protection, treatment, rehabilitation and to propagate the provisions contained in schemes and acts of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities Department. Rs. 30.00 Lakh were provisioned in the FY 2014-15, against which Rs. 30.00 Lakh were expended. In the FY 2015-16 Rs. 30.00 Lakhs were provisioned in Non-Planned side, against which Rs. 3.78 Lakh have been expended till December, 2015. There is a provision of Rs. 30.00 Lakh in Non-Planned side in the FY 2016-17.

Assistance to voluntary organizations for operating Shelter Homes-cum-Training Centers for Mentally Retarded and Mentally ill helpless PWDs:-

Against the total provision of Rs 1100.00 lakh in the planning side, an expenditure of Rs 218.55 lakh has been incurred till January, 2025 for providing assistance to voluntary organizations for running shelter home cum training center for mentally retarded and mentally ill destitute disabled people.
