Incentive on Marrying Handicap people

Incentive award scheme on marriage of disabled persons by the Government of Uttar Pradesh is being operated by the department since the year 1997. Under this scheme, prizes are given to Divyangjan as an incentive for getting married. Under this award, Rs. 15,000/- in case of young man with disability, Rs. 20000/- in case of girl with disability and Rs. 35,000/- in case of disability of both young man and girl is provided as incentive.

Eligibility and Conditions

(a)- Certificate of minimum 40 percent disability
(b) - The couple should be a citizen of India, a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh or its domicile for at least five years.
(c) - None of the members of the couple has been convicted in any criminal case.
(d) - The age of the girl child in the couple should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years at the time of marriage. The age of the youth should not be less than 21 years and not more than 45 years.
(e) - No member in the couple is an income tax payer.
(f) - The marriage has been registered.
(g) - who does not have a husband or wife living before and is not facing sexual harassment or other criminality.

Application procedure:-

To get the benefit, the eligible Divyangjan first has to make his application on http://divyangjan.upsdc.gov.in/, after which after the verification of the District Disability Empowerment Officer, after the approval of the District Magistrate, the eligible Divyangjan is benefited from this award scheme.
